Kyle Kenney-Dunham
Designer & Illustrator
My name is Kyle Kenney-Dunham and I am a freelance designer & illustrator working out of the Bay Area. I am a graduate of Houghton College where I received a BFA in Applied Design & Visual Communication.
In 1998 I was born in Dallas, Texas and brought up in a Navy family which has, retrospectively had an incredible impact on my life. My time as a Navy kid allowed me the opportunity to live in several places across the United States and overseas. As a result, I have been on the move nearly my entire life. Many people might consider this a burden, and while there are certainly negatives, I believe this lifestyle has afforded me opportunities and experiences that I never would have had otherwise. These life-changing moves have largely been a blessing. They have taught me to be adaptable in new environments, and have also helped me to develop a much more international worldview and educational background. However, most importantly, through connecting with people from around the world, I have learned how important it is to develop a sense of empathy, which I believe is one of the core principles of design.
Present-day I strive to practice empathy and keep it at the core of everything I do.
